Looking beyond the obvious…

As tuneful as this song is,there must be a deeper meaning..My self

Having ego makes you unable to look beyond something and when you realise it’ll  be too late, there is nothing wrong in being proud.

It has been proved time and again that when a person thinks he is invincible his end is near. Power and pelf generally give a false sense of security and it is natural to get carried away by their trappings. In fact a person who becomes successful and influential in the world becomes more and more vulnerable.

Jamie Laurie stated that the song “is about the idea that we have so much incredible potential as human beings to be destructive or to be creative.” “And it’s tragic to me that the appetite for military innovation is endless, but when it comes to taking on a project like ending world hunger, it’s seen as outlandish. It’s not treated with the same seriousness. […] at the same time, I knew there were people at that moment who were being bombed by our own country. And I thought that was incredibly powerful.” It is the contrast between these “little moments of creativity, these bursts of innovation,” and the way these ideas are put to use “to oppress and destroy people” that the singer feels is both “beautiful and tragic at the same time.”

Julius Caesar :

A famous example of this is Caesar’s ambition and ego were the factors that brought him down. Although accomplished in many areas, Julius Caesar was not hesitant to accept any and all honors that were offered to him and it’s even suspected that when he was offered the crown, that it was a set up to judge the reaction of the Roman people. He insulted the delegation from the senate when they went to him to present him with new honors, and at the time of his death was planning an invasion of Parthia which, if successful, would boost his public standing even higher. All the honors and authority that Caesar accumulated, built up resentment and outrage in his enemies and you know the results.

Perhaps a statement such as

“ambition and ego eventually cause resentment”

could emphasise this.

Today in the modern world in a professional environment for instance status makes a person think of  superiority and inferiority, as much of a  cliché  as  this may sound  you only live once therefore you should make the most of your life and live it to the fullest,At this point in time you may not realise it but later on you will feel resentment and regret.

“Man will tread the moon yet fails to comprehend his own mind.” -Pandurang Shastri Athavale

I’m leaving a lose end and it is up to you to have your own respective means to this.
